OLOL): https://eqbeats.org/track/4489 Hello bro-horse people of the internet! I am a humble Canadian pilgrim, and I come bearing an offering of peace and ponies. Please accept this gift on behalf of my people. Seriously though, here's like a new song or something. As some of you may know, I have a full album's-worth of songs I'm working on currently. I'm no where near completion, but I wanted to share with you this, the first fully completed track off the album. The song plays on a fanon scenario regarding the passing of Princess Celestia, and is a simple statement on the mortality of our idols and the impact they leave on us once they're gone. Fun fact: The concept for this song arose as I was actually working up a synopsis for a fanfiction I planned to write several months ago. I eventually scrapped that idea (Mostly because it was about Twilight losing herself to Dark Magic, and apparently everyone and their mothers writes about that), though part of the story revolved around the death of Celestia, a being whom was thought to be immortal. While the story is long dead and gone (And I really have no intentions of reviving it), this scenario remained in my head, and it lead me to writing the lyrics for this song. Oh yeah, this also doubles as a bit of a finale to that Mane 6 thingamabob I was doing ages ago that I never finished. So it's the first song I've finished for the album, and the last song of the Mane 6 Drain-me-creatively-a-thon I was forcing myself to do. +1 for bridging the gap, I suppose. Have some Lyrics or something: I was once alone Then you came and lifted me up And showed me the beauty of the stars Fearful and cold There was always something more Than what you told me that you are Why am I here? Why did you choose me that day? There were so many others There were sisters and brothers Who tried so hard To get my place But I won't let you down I'll never take for granted what you gave me I won't back out now After all you taught me I just want to make you proud And throughout all the happiness and sadness The good times and the bad times and the madness You were always there to help me on my feet And as I'm writing you this one last letter I think of how you changed my life for better And every time I picture you I shed a tear Oh, I won't let you down I'll never take for granted what you gave me And I won't back out now After all you taught me And from our fears we will not run And I'll be the stars that light the way to what we've become Your last lesson has just begun The beauty of a setting sun
