It works fairly well for sleep, and is incredibly good for hypnosis. My only complaint is it’s a bit bright for me, but you can cover it with a piece of paper for that. The booklet that comes with it even advocates & instructs you on how to hypnotize yourself. 5 stars

As you may be aware, on 17 December tumblr is going to be killing any sexually explicit posts that contain visual elements such as photographs that include “female presenting nipples” and overtly sexual content. The way they are accomplishing this is through a combination of really badly programmed bots and community “support” (ie “report your neighbors for a better society”). In theory any post that conforms to the stated guidelines would be safe, in practice any random ole things is getting flagged. (I myself have not escaped this: I had one of my hypnocon sales posts flagged for content, because love of cookies is the true pathway to sex.)

Clearly, there are some issues here, and let me be blunt: badly programmed bots are the very least of them. Tumblr’s new policies (shout out to @verizon/ @vzwireless because it would hardly be fair to leave them out of this conversation) seem deliberately tailored to impact the abilities of artists and sex workers to reach their patrons/customers/fanbases/etc. Not to mention members of the LGBT+ and various kink communities who in many cases found safe and supportive communities to be a part of here. (”Female presenting nipples”, my ass. And yes, those are my boobs in my icon and please note the complete lack of nipples in the photograph.)

I am going to be posting things that have been falsely flagged as explicit for as long as I can get away with it, and I’m asking all of you to help by sending me submissions of things of yours that have been flagged. Ideally, these would be screen caps of the posts showing the “flagged’ red band, for the simple reason that reblogs of things that have been flagged are then flagged themselves, and I’d like people to see these posts. Don’t worry - I’ll definitely credit you (in the same fashion that I have the posts above).
