I didn't worry a lot for Gilda's custom weapon as I did for Fluttershy's one. As Scoot said: it's pointless to have stuff if you don't even use it. That's my tip for you, especially since you'll have only a little time to train her. Then you won't see her again until MUCH later.

Also, Lyra is so darn hard to train. I myself am not a Lyra fan as much as I am of other ponies, so I'm considering not training her.

Sure, Madmax could easily kill the boss with her overpowered Lun Scripta tome, but then I would be neglecting my other units if I did. She's strong enough to train herself later, so no need to babysit her.
