Fire sears my flesh as I look at the endless staircase before me, decaying as I do with every breath. Beneath me, rot and filth; the blood of many pours from the crevasses of the wood. Fire behind my every step, I trudge onward and watch as the flames follow blindly, an eternal blaze continuously growing. The infinite ascent of a Jacob's ladder begets hopelessness, each striation unchanged, yet equally unending in its transcendent nature, evoking a sense of progress where there is only writhing purgatory. Once more and once again, perhaps one more step until I may rest, until there is light from the darkness above...

The overall feel of the song was heavily inspired by Laura's Theme (Reprise) from Silent Hill 2, but the text and a great deal of the reason I made it was from combining the idea of Jacob's Ladder with the scene with Angela on the stairs in Silent Hill 2.
The voice acting wasn't that great, but I'll be danged if it didn't inspire me.

As far as music goes, I know I've been making the softer stuff as of late, and really, I don't know why, it's just the kick I've been on.
I don't really know when the next grand thing is, but I've got some plans for some creepy stuff.
If I get inspired, trust me, I'll be there with all the strings and brass, but I want it to be good -- work from inspiration always feels better.

Anyways, I hope you guys like it.
