So in this video, the camera died mid-rant and I forgot I hadn't finished it, and then later thought that it was a different rant about evolution in sci-fi which I had left unfinished, hence the ending. I think I basically made the point though: anime artstyle has always changed and gone thru trends and that's all cool and good, but we just don't get the same level of sheer production quality that we used to anymore thanks to diminishing returns in an age of media saturation.
