Though their style would eventually pick up a harder-edged Shoegaze-influenced sound, Short Hair Front's debut album from 1998 is pure neo-acoustic with catchy melodies and the distinctive jangly leads at the heart of the genre. The album itself is not notably innovative; it's just a tight, well-made representation of the sound of the genre at the turn of the millennium.
