Industrial hardcore is derived from a combination of techno and hardcore. It is a characteristic genre because of the cold and dark sound character. Especially in the transition from early-to millennium hardcore, Industrial has played an important role. Because the hardcore was at his commercial peak more producers began experimenting with hardcore. Especially DJ Promo played an important role in this.
