For the backround art in Purged, I was aiming for a highly detailed, painted environment. Initially, I was aiming for something somewhat surreal, but that element began to diminish as I continued to work on the project.

The entire film is really composed of a few key backgrounds, and the rest are generic surfaces which are combined and composited in different ways depending on the shot.
