During the 8 or so months in production, about half of the time went into creating this animatic. Our approach to creating the story was that we'd just make it up as we went, and keeping such a rough animatic helped to keep our ideas spontaneous.

A lot of the visuals were sync to time with early concept music that appears in this animatic, most of which was abandoned later in the production. Hania voices the grandad in the first sequence, as she wrote the dialogue more in the form of a song. This really helped us to nail the tempo early on.
