Airmen from the 1st Special Operations Wing conduct weapons training at Camp Shelby during exercise Southern Strike 2017 on Oct. 23, 2016. Southern Strike 2017 (SSTK 2017) is a total force, multi-service exercise hosted by the Mississippi National Guard's Combat Readiness Training Center. SSTK 2017 emphasizes air-to-air, air-to-ground and special operations forces training opportunities. These events are integrated into demanding hostile and asymmetric scenarios with actions from specialized ground forces and combat and mobility air forces.
