Spoilers ahead for new Prequel readers.

Prequel and its protagonist, Katia Managan, are some of the coolest things I've encountered in my recent past. Kazerad does an awesome job with the writing and all those other fancy internet comic things he does, along with his cohorts. If you have yet to enjoy the comedy, suspense and pain that is Prequel, I highly recommend you give it a shot. Especially if you're a fan of the Elder Scrolls series.

Magic is really cool. Every pseudo-scientific explanation I've ever heard for magic is really fascinating and even kind of eye-opening. In the Elder Scrolls universe, the way magic is just sort of stolen from daedra and expended by mortals, and it's such a tiny amount they don't even notice; it's all really cool. Imagine being in touch with seven very different planes which exist on top of your own, able to pull energy from them.
Sometimes I don't think Katia fully appreciates her gift.
Anyway, all of this is just a musical description of her first steps into the world of magic.
