Soyeah, I'm pretty sad about season two being over. I went back and started re-watching season one, and found myself kind of wrapped up in the Celestia/Luna/Nightmare Moon arc. When you really stop to think about what blasts past you in the first few minutes of the pilot, you realize that there's some sincere tragedy to the tale. It reminded me of Greek myths. Eternal night, two goddesses, banishment within a celestial body. LIKEWHOA. So, this was meant to express how Celestia might have felt after banishing Nightmare Moon. I could only imagine the guilt Celestia must have felt, in her moments away from her royal duties, as she looked up at the moon as the years passed and wondered, "What if there had been another way?" I learned that textures are a lot harder to make sound nice than I'd originally thought. I definitely have to hand it to the ambient/postrock guys, this is not easy stuff. I'm not sure if I want to dabble again any time soon, but this was a fun experiment. On an unrelated note, maybe one day I'll stop using the glowing-pony-vectors-in-space trick. But today is not that day. --------- LINKS --------- Soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/eccentrifuge Bandcamp: http://eccentrifuge.bandcamp.com/ Like Zecora's Walk and Cadence's Heart, this track is free/nameaprice.
