Now, this was a heckuva fun piece to work on. I got to play around with some new techniques that I normally don't use, so this tune broke new ground for me in a few ways.
It came about while I was working on the score for the animation adaptation of Chromosome's fic White Box, with Le Soldat and Mr. Nohbdy. I'd been listening to a lot of post rock at the time (namely the "( )" album by Sigur Ros), and so I naturally gravitated towards that slow, building progressive style. About halfway through, I opted to stop approaching the tune as a piece of the score for the project, and instead treat it as its own standalone piece about White Box, and Canvas, as a whole.
