This is just a small example video I've made showing the process involved with manual lipsyncing in SFM (for Ponies!). I'd initially planned on using my own speech or voice extracted from the audio track to produce the phonemes required to animate the models; but the result was sloppy. Every syllable would require refinement. Turns out it is considerably easier to do it from scratch, though more time consuming than anticipated! If you need any advice on this, have a look at the incredible tutorial from Argodemon (find it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QO8R2vuRiI0). In fact all his tutorials/animations are great, so check them out! The time spent here lipsyncing is around 40 minutes, amounting to a grand total of around 5 seconds of dialogue! Please take the scene setup with a dash of salt, this scene will look completely different at final render; this is merely a demonstration of how the lipsync can look like if you invest the time! The music is "A State of Serenity" by Evening Star, and you can find his soundcloud here: https://soundcloud.com/marcusabbott/a-state-of-serenity Thanks for watching!
