Early in ‘Sunken Horizons’, the characters decide to rendezvous far to the frozen north, where rumors and ancient texts hint at something waiting to be discovered. But getting there will require braving a treacherous, inhospitable icy desert where few venture and fewer return.

This is essentially a “teaser” for the Crystal Empire theme, and appears in various scenes where the characters reflect on their icy destination and whatever awaits them there.
