All corniness in the video is purposeful.  Shot in like less than 2 hours.
If no one does a comparison between the two I'll do it.
I had a blast making this.  Hope it is well received (and/or noticed).  I think it's hilarious.
Consider it a less violent version of Smile HD.
Don't expect another large project for awhile though.
