This is a little piece I made using the Embertone Harmonette (which is free by the way, you should check it out!). When I first heard this instrument it remembered me of an old christmas tradition, typical of my country, Sicily. When I was little, in my town, there used to be small ensembles of woodwinds that played through the streets, stopping in various places and then walking to the next street or part of the town. So you could hear music approaching you, or maybe going away in the distance, always moving around the town. I have always been fascinated by this idea of music that travels, always moving, sometime towards a destination, sometime without any destination at all. I tried to recreate that feeling with this piece, the sound is always moving, first in a physical space (like left, right, far, close and so on) and then in an harmonic space: the harmony never finds a definitive point of rest, so it's constantly wandering around tonalities and chords. After all, I'm the Wandering Artist ! DOWNLOAD: http://wanderingartist.bandcamp.com/track/souvenir SOUNDCLOUD: https://soundcloud.com/wanderingartist/souvenir
