Glitter is the embodiment of many things. Something that will always have an impact on me is the relationship of Vinyl and Octavia, that we all know and love. But personally, I think this song is much more meta. In the early days of me releasing music, I wrote in a naiveté I wish I could easily possess again - to write everything through a child's eyes was a blessing, now that I think of it. "Glitter" reaches into what used to be, covering a progressive pop house style that I haven't done in two years. What I realize now is that I've been afraid to do styles of music that perhaps sounds "dated" to some people or even simply writing about MLP, where another half of my audience won't like it - I learned a lesson that in the end, people just want to listen to me for me.
