"Story-wise, this song may be one of the most significant of all. This pre-Starship Ponyville trilogy began back in March of this year, and it was conceived through the introduction of the noted song "Twilight" (Silence in Ponyville). This genesis of the unfolding tale would bring you all through months of fantastic fables and mysteries, and eventually to this final evening in the story. Our three-part introduction began with Twilight and ended with Twilight.

The original chillstep production served to tell the recount of Twilight and her friends growing up, through the good and bad of it all. Now we are here, all of them are grown up, and as the spotlight moves from the jubilant group, it is then focused on a lone stallion beginning to love again. He grew up in the reign of Twilight, but as the sun sets into a blaze of brilliant colors, he prays Eventide will find his own newfound strength, and chip away the cold in his love's heart."
