The other day I spontaneously walked into the opening of an art gallery off the street, dressed in lolita, and found a lady spinning fairyfloss as an exhibit. She let me poke my frilly polkadotted umbrella into the machine and spin a fluffy pink piece on the top of it! I walked around the strange colourful exhibit, munching on it, then got home to find a letter from Canada and a jam doughnut sitting next to my plushy owl toy. Totally awesome afternoon. Lyrics- Its like a scene that you've seen on the telly The artworks are all made of plastic and jelly Old men in blue suits sip wine from shot glasses Students in groups laugh 'cos they're skipping classes And a room at the back has a girl spinning sugar Mountains of crystals, a weeks what it took her To fill up the room with sweet tufts of a cloud Strung up with string, and she's singing out loud I would dance out in the rain with my brolly With fairyfloss frills, I'm a porcelain dolly, Face in a grin, oh so sticky with lollies, On a chilly autumn afternoon My most favourite meal involved butter and sprinkles. Do you see the rocks on the sidewalk that twinkle? And I'll wear my hair in a tangerine curl Or purple-pink straightness, or chocolate whirl~ I would dance out in the rain with my brolly With fairyfloss frills, I'm a porcelain dolly, Buzzing and beaming, face sticky with lollies, On a chilly autumn afternoon A letter was waiting from far overseas, A million names are the ones that she needs. Strangers are sweet and Jam doughnuts are friendly, And I'll lose my photos when I'm out of memory. I would dance out in the rain with my brolly Fairyfloss frills, I'm dressed up like a dolly, Waiting to crash out from all of these lollies On a chilly autumn afternoon. The owl and the pussycat did dance in my head But the owl, he came back and he lives on my bed. Among the ducklings and soft baby deer When I'm asleep all my laughing they hear. Because I dance out in the rain with my brolly, Fairy floss, frills, I'm a porcelain dolly, Face in a grin, so sticky with lollies, On a chilly Autumn Afternoon. I would dance out in the rain with my brolly, Fairyfloss frills and porcelain dollies. Buzzing and beaming, face sticky with lollies On a chilly autumn afternoon. Leaves stare as they float by, As I sing to the chilly grey sky.
