Summary: It was a flash No, let me back up, it was more like a flicker, the kind of thing you see when someone shines a light off in the distance through some kind of obstruction. In this case it was through the leaves of the trees not far off of the nature trail near my house. It's a place I'm very familiar with. I've walked it probably hundreds of times over the years and probably only twice have I ever seen another soul on it. It was always someone from my town taking a leisurely stroll, never anyone or anything weird. I've also never seen anyone there at night, which makes what happened all the more strange.
