As someone constantly overhearing people blowing my statements out of proportion or insisting that I have completely different beliefs from what I have, I tend to give pause when I see people I follow getting accused of things which seem beyond the pale of my understanding of their character; but more importantly, I don't think anyone should have to be able to explain themselves in order to say what they want to and have their right to profit from it honored--especially when I think about the possibilities of what could happen if we push everyone we disagree with out of where we can see them.
