What do people think sports anime are about? Just watching people play sports? Not even ACTUAL sports are just about that! But you probably wouldn't know if you're not into them. Luckily, there's a much easier way to consume sports narratives than learning the complex meta of a game that's boring as shit to actually watch on TV: it's called anime, and it makes everything watchable when it's good. And there are many sports anime that are good.
