SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN’T READ HAMLET!

Hello everyone! This is my final project for our Shakespeare Unit in my English class. I decided to do character parodies of all the characters I found really important. I ended up doing short snippets of popular songs I really liked and changing the lyrics to match the character I paired the song with. The ending results was 10 minutes long, but I had a great time writing these lyrics and singing the parts! I think it was a project worth my time.

I started with Hamlet’s father and did a parody of All the Good Girls Go to Hell originally by Billie Eilish, and changed it to My Brother’s Going To Hell. Then, I did a Claudius parody of Myself originally by Bazzi, and changed it to Better With The Crown. Next, I did a Gertrude parody of Can’t Feel My Face originally by The Weeknd, and changed it to I Feel Like I’m Safe. Next, was a Polonius parody of New Perspective originally by Panic! At the Disco, and I changed it to My Perspective. My Laertes parody was of Pray For Me originally by The Weeknd, but I changed it to Pray for You. My Ophelia parody was of This Is Home originally by Cavetown, but I changed it to In The Lake. My Rosencrantz and Guildenstern parody was of I Can’t Decide, which was originally by Scissor Sisters, and I kept the title name the same. My Horatio parody of Who Do You Love originally by The Chainsmokers and Five Seconds of Summer was changed to Who. And finally, my Hamlet parody of I’ve Been Waiting originally by ILOVEMAKKONEN, Lil Peep, and Fall Out Boy, was changed to I’ll Be Waiting.
