I thought this was the perfect song to sing for today. My best friend is leaving for college tomorrow and I won’t see her for a while. We both loved Adventure Time sooo much and we’re basically Finn and Jake. I remember we both watched the finale when it came out. I think the lyrics of this song are what inspired me to sing it today. It’s just, perfect. Especially that last line.

In the finale, this song stood out to me and made me cry. However, my favorite version of this song is the version where Rebecca Sugar sings with her ukulele. It’s absolutely beautiful. So below, I linked that version instead of the version from the episode.

Adventure Time is my favorite cartoon of all time and it always has been. It really shaped who I am and taught me a lot in my childhood. I’m glad I found a fitting day for me to cover this song. This song is so precious to me and I didn’t want to just sing it on any old day.
