I've lately gotten FUCKING OBSESSED with The Front Bottoms thanks to my lovely girlfriend Mary. Her influence on my music has pushed me into the folk-punk/pop-punk area and I love it. Thank you so much for showing me The Front Bottoms, they're amazing. luv u merry mary.
In this cover, I quite literally played along with the song itself on YouTube, just transposed to G instead. I didn't do anything new, other than some fun panning, use of only power chords, and emo-style guitar harmonization stuff. I've been practicing getting grit into my voice and this style has been getting so much easier on my voice, that I might do more of it in the future.
The art is the first thing I seen in my head when I first listened to the final export from Audition. It's based off a night where Mary and I walked down to the local marina, listened to music and skipped rocks together for an hour or two. It was fun.
