So here's the cover I did for Keychi for her Wizard of Oz project. And boy does this one have a story. I'll first be blunt, I hate this cover. The syncing is off, and it sounds and feels sloppy. The drums lacks variation as it is nothing more than a generic swing beat. And in the process of composing this track, I panicked and worried myself for Keychi since this project meant a lot to her. At the same time, I at least wanted to contribute something since a lot of people were involved and I didn't have a role. But I threw in the towel to ease off my stress, but feeling left out and guilty at the same time. However, when I gave both Keychi and Keyframe to listen to the track, they loved it. So I went with my gut and polished the track as best as I could under a short amount of time. I kick myself in the teeth for not working on this sooner for her since she wanted her work up in January. And as a result I'm paying my consequences since I worked on this at the last minute. If I worked on this sooner, I guarantee you this track could've been ten times better. That's what happens when you procrastinate. Funny enough, my parents listened to the track and they loved it too. Mom said it reminded her of Steely Dan's Reelin' In the Years. Heh a song a thousand times better than this hunk of garbage. But whatever, Keychi loved it, Key loved it, and several others did. Personally that's what matters the most to me. But for something better, definitely check out Keychi's Wizard of Oz video. It's really fun and the roles each of the characters have are perfectly fitting, especially for Lightning Bliss! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m17SAg22-EY I currently don't have a download link yet because I have yet to tinker with the file itself for its cover art, and making the track as professional and marketable to my channel. Until then, I at least hope you guys like this track.
