Characters used: Apple Pie, Prism Bolt, Blaze, Crystal Gem, Super Nova, and Harmony.

Blaze and Crystal Gem were not going through their molting phase, as explained by their father. They tried to play it off like it was nothing as they walked around Ponyville, but you couldn't hide that smell and their friends did notice.

This is why when Blaze was young he didn't have wings in some pictures. I also decided that this is how Crystal Gem got her horns. I wanted them both to go through the molt and obviously she doesn't have wings. So instead she got horns instead. She always wondered how come she was never with a horn like her mother, or wings like her father. The molt "gave" her horns to where she uses her magic.
