This here's my entry for the ongoing Foal's "Wash Off" Remix competition. There's a lot of jolly good entries out there, but DO THEY SWING?!

For longtime followers of this channel, you know electro swing is in my blood. I could think of no better tribute to one of my favorite bands.

Them Changes:
1. Listen to the clap/snare at the drop. In the old version, notice how it gets buried almost constantly and doesnt "blend" or lend energy and momentum to the beat. This version has a lot more "SNAP", if you will.

2. Listen to the MID-BASS. Headphones or good monitors are needed for this. I fattened it up so it sits better in the mix and just has more girth to it. The original only really had sub and the entire midbass (around 200hz) was anemic save for what I retroactively considered a strident fuzziness in the upperbass layer.

3. Listen to the snare fills that come right before the drop and elsewhere in the jam. Lacked punch in the original. It's "there" but not upfront. Also added some sizzle.

4. WAY LESS MASTER BUS COMPRESSION (BUT STILL PRETTY COMPRESSED)
