Read the description for more information! Ever since I started playing the euphonium in 2018 I was fascinated with the sound of the instrument. Of all the brass instruments it has the most mellow sound, it has an amazing range to utilise, and it is capable of accompanying or playing the melody. It didn't take me long to start composing for it (see my "6 Fantasien" or "Die Weihnachtsgeschichte"), and today's piece came directly from the qualities I mentioned above. Originally I had planned to write the piece for four euphoniums, but I decided to substitute the fourth one for a tuba. The part is playable on euph, but the very low notes just work so much better on a tuba. (And yes, C-sharp minor is about the worst key for a B-flat brass instrument to play in, but I can say for sure the piece is very much playable!)
