"The Reason Why" is a "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic" based fanfiction about three cloned and genetically modified ponies that are immune to a strange disease that threatens everypony's life in Equestria. These ponies' task is finding a way to stop the disease or - if that task fails - repopulate Equestria and save all of its knowledge and history.

After an exhausting and dangerous trip down the mountain of Canterlot the protagonists finally reach their first target, Ponyville. After all they have been through they finally can rest for a while. But Ponyville also isn't safe from the virus, and its impact can be seen here as well.
