The title of the song “1-800-273-8255 “ stands for the number of the US National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. The song is about a person who's overhelmed by feelings/problems in her life and is afraid to see the light in the darkness around her. (That's how I would explain it)

...Sometimes I can relate to it(and I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one).
Sofa Fact: It's one of those songs to which I listen if I'm in a really depressive mood... (Like today...the last week was a whole mess! You have no idea how hard I wished for the weekend for finally hiding in my room all day. Wuff.)
