When it all goes to hell, and all you can do is sit back and enjoy the ride, be glad you get to go out in a blaze of glory.

"Meteoric" is the final track from the EP "Between Worlds". This track rounds out the story of Between Worlds, with our protagonists falling to their inevitable end. I wanted to capture a feeling of contentment, of peace and acceptance, in the face of utter hopelessness. Of falling, out of control, too fast and too hard. Of your life flashing before your eyes. Of knowing you did all you could, even if it all ended in flames. The story behind Between Worlds is a tragedy, in the old school everyone-dies-at-the-end sense of the term, but a hopeful one.

Transcendental Orchestra is an experimental solo project from Leonard "L-Train" Hume, an instrumental symphonic metal prog neo-Romantic jazz fusion eclectic virtual behemoth of an ensemble.
