Long before I released version 0.1.0 of Weather Factory Meltdown, there was a Flash game free for download called Fiends from Dream Valley.  I think the original idea was to repurpose some G-1 villains like Lavan and Crunch the Rock Dog for a G-4 game.

As promising as the project was, it fell apart---I emailed the team who made it, and they told me their ambitions were ahead of their abilities, and the people who worked on it have moved on to other things.

Still, since both WFM and FFDV are platformers where you're allowed to play as any one of the main six you like (though Rarity wasn't added to the game yet), I figured it's worth doing a comparison between them.

Unfortunately, I'm not aware of any place where the Fiends from Dream Valley game is available for download at this point; the team's site no longer exists.  I've asked the staff at mlpforums if I can post the swf file there, but I haven't had a reply yet.
