A complete playthrough of the whole game in great quality. This is, without a doubt, my absolute favorite game of all time and that's saying something because I have played games my whole life. Do note that this game is targeted towards mature people and it's brilliance can only be grasped by those who look beneath its surface. So if you have the time, please try to immerse yourself and experience one of the best works of art ever created (in my opinion, of course). I made a longplay on this game back in September of 2012 and it has gotten quite popular (for my standards). But I was never satisfied with the quality of the video. So I made a new one and here it is. (2016 edit: I'm once again unsatisfied with the quality. The noise from the RCA recording is too high and the video has the wrong aspect ratio (a fault caused by the PAL PS2 itself). Played and recorded off a PAL PlayStation 2 using a Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle. This is NOT played on the HD Remaster because it's nothing more than a complete failure; an ugly and unstable mess. Stay away from it. A very nice analysis of the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBQazRX4fF8 A very good analysis of the whole series: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL87676CF7D0B816B4&spfreload=10 Information about the game: Silent Hill 2 is a survival horror video game published by Konami for the PlayStation 2 and developed by Team Silent, a production group within Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo. The game was released in September 2001 as the second installment in the Silent Hill series. While set in the series' eponymous fictional American town, Silent Hill 2 is not a direct sequel to the first Silent Hill game. Instead, it centers on James Sunderland, who enters the town after receiving a letter written by his deceased wife, saying she is waiting for him in their "special place" in Silent Hill. Silent Hill 2 uses a third-person view and gameplay places a greater emphasis on finding items and solving riddles than combat. Psychological aspects such as the gradual disappearance of Mary's letter were added to the game. More humanoid than their counterparts in the preceding game, some of the monsters were designed as a reflection of James' subconscious. References to real world history, films and literary works can also be found in the game.
