Specifically, this is a radio play adaptation of the original 1938 War of the Worlds broadcast staring Orson Welles and the Mercury Theater on the Air. The original version is owned by Mercury Theater, Orson Welles, and CBS. War of the Worlds was written by H.G. Wells. MLP:FiM is owned by Hasbro, Lauren Faust, and the Hub.
