So when I first heard this part, I felt the same emotions when Dashie was trying to perform in the Best Young Flyer competition. Even with the absolute fabulousness of her competitor beaming down on her, she didn't go back Home and continued on.

She remembers all the events she had with her friends and seeing her friend Rarity falling from the sky, she pushed herself and performed her fabled sonic rainboom.

Didn't have any idea for the last few seconds so I just went for the lazy flying vectors and shapes that most peeps do. I'm guilty of doing that too.
