Our website is here: http://www.dawnsomewhere.com/ In the video, I mentioned that 4chan could be targeted with the DMCA, but after I turned the mic off, I think that might be wrong. There are sections of law that protect sites like 4chan, although without those laws, antagonizing 4chan would still be as smart as headbutting a hornet's nest and then sticking around to accuse the hornets of illegal trespassing. Anyway, there are things that copyright law is meant to do, and "protection" isn't actually one of those things. Copyright laws are meant to provide incentives for creativity and invention. It's so you can claim your hard work and get recognized for it. It's not to stop other people or to bring anyone down - it's supposed to be a benefit to general cultural productivity. Digital copyrights, however, are nutty. The laws are kind of being passed by old men who express a limited understanding of the situation. There are not many politicians who have a firm grasp of evolving computer sciences and the way the internet is changing things. But though the new laws complicate things, the old ones are still trying to get us to make more stuff, to share ideas, and to grow as people. Nobody is necessarily staked against anyone else. We've just got to be fluid and understand the difficult situations. In any cases, all of the Mentally Advanced Series is back online! Elsewhere right now, on sites like derpy.tv, but it's going up on our website too! We'll give you guys updates on Youtube whenever a new episode comes out, and you can also sign up and subscribe to us on our site, too!
