I remember I was once having a conversation with my friend's parents, and they made a joke in the vein of innuendo regarding the daily life of a couple. In bygone years, it would have sailed over our heads, but at that time, I responded with my own quip about the same subject. They laughed and remarked, "I kind of like this 'having adult children' thing."
