After traversing the Vale, Kaybe discovers a man who can apparently re-write the Elder Scrolls. This is a big deal because the Elder Scrolls are supposedly fragments of reality itself and no known magic can change them. If one could write prophesies into the scrolls or create their own, the universe would be at their fingertips. Unfortunately, Serana doesn't know this and doesn't care. For that matter she doesn't even think the Bow of Auriel is all too shiny.
