Kaybe's glorious victory is snatched away, as it becomes clear that she was somehow outwitted by a very dumb group of guards! The guards have no functional plans to prevent our hero from utterly destroying them, and they follow up by setting a fire and then running into said fire. Clearly, somebody skimmed through a little bit of Sun Tzu, saw the word "fire", and thought, "Oh, yes, fire. Perfect. We'll do that".
