The link above is a really neat resource full of various instruments you can use to make and mix music like this. A huge thanks to the fan that directed us to their site! The only catch is that it's creative commons, which by extension means this video also follows all the rules for creative commons. It's pretty similar to the terms we already use, so no concerns there, I think.

This week I continued on in my effort to produce a convincing-sounding fanfare! The result wound up a bit strange and, in my opinion, maybe just a touch experimental sounding. I don't honestly know why this request has been this challenging to square up with.

Anyway, the song includes some french horn, trumpets, synth for flavor, and snare in triplets for a sort of march feel. It's really the synth that gives it a weirder feel, but I couldn't quite get the song to work without it.
