While I understand that some people still feel embroiled in the battle of gender politics, for me it's become something of the past. I think it's because I just quit looking into it, and the search engines no longer try to show me more of that controversy. But when it was at its most heated, I was paying attention, and one person I thought was very interesting for a variety reasons was Anita Sarkeesian. Not because she'd done anything amazing - nobody seems to seriously quote her like the would a galvanizing political speaker. But because she was at the center of so much controversy, perhaps just because she was at the right place and time.
