Today I talk a bit about how some drugs can be the same exact molecule and yet function differently in your body. However, because of the way patents are awarded, it can also be difficult to tell if certain drugs really function any differently from one another, since the primary motivator in the pharmaceutical industry is money. There are several drugs out there which may do the same thing and have no benefits over each other, but one will be more expensive because it got a later patent.
