I keep up with a comic called Sinfest, and in my opinion it's intellectually derelict. It's a one-sided fellatement of the author's ego and personal ideology, but on the other hand that's kind of interesting. In fact, because an author controls a fictional world, a bent perspective on the world can lead to some unusual and telling reveals about the author, and I thought I'd talk a bit about that and the presence of ideology where a writer can make his own perspective be the truth.
