Season 6 opened last Saturday, and I can understand not being enthused to write "the baby episode", it felt like there was a lot that was structurally wrong with the whole thing. Not just in a logical or emotional sense, but there seemed to be strange disconnects between dialogue and what was visually on screen. There were a couple of scenes where the baby was clearly unmanageable until it had finished acting as a plot device, and then it would sit still and do nothing until the need to destroy rose again. I haven't been the type to really take MLP overly seriously, but the show's probably not going to be very much fun to watch, even with a sense of irony, if it continues to operate at this level.
