The election is almost here and thanks to campaign money running amok and corporations writing laws to regulate themselves, our American system has been the source of a lot of gloom and comedy! People are always talking about how we're going to collapse like Rome, but honestly? If we're going to collapse it'll probably be more similar to the later Han Dynasty, and even that's a stretch. Frankly, our political stability still ranks fairly well in the world, even if our government isn't doing a really good job assuring us of that.
