Today's video is a commission! I was asked to do a segment on statistics and how they're applied to the real world. Generally, statistics tend not to be a direct lead to an answer, but rather a way to explore broad trends. It tends to get reported on or discussed as though it proves or disproves things, but it really isn't used for that. On top of all that, the most complex aspect of statistical data is understanding how to debunk it, since there's a lot of math involved and many ways to make mistakes.
