I first heard this song watching "House M.D." on TV. It's the episode where Kutner commits suicide. It was such an emotional episode. I think it really showed how good the writers were. Such a great series! One of the few TV shows I watched all the way through.

My first thought when I put this music to ponies was Princess Celestia outliving everyone, even Luna. She would walk around her castle, remembering the main six, Luna and all the other ponies. The castle would be in disrepair and I would try to give it a "Fallout Equestria" vibe. Then Twilight became a princess and I thought it would even be more heart-breaking for her to outlive her best friends. So here we are. I know about the debate about the immortality for Twilight, so don't rip my head off. It's just my interpretation.
