Starlight goes on a nostalgic trip to her old room, listening to her favorite Hard Rock songs and practicing on her first electric guitar. Or is she rehearsing for the upcoming gig of her new band?

After seeing Starlight's awesome old room in S08E08 "The Parent Map" (and totally going crazy about it), I just had to make something in tribute to Starlight, and to music too! I'm dedicating this animation to Starlight, and to all the fellow bronies and music fans who went crazy about her room like I did!

This is what I imagine Starlight would listen to and play. She abandoned pratice for a while because of what happened and her equality village and all, but since she became Twilight's student I'm sure she must have gotten back to practicing guitar daily! Also her headphones of choice would be the Mareshall Monitor, same brand as her amp!

Who knows in which band she might have played back in the day, but right now, she teamed up with Rarity and Fluttershy and they founded a new band, Mares Dead Monster! Rarity, who had already shown her amazing guitar skill in S07E09, was happy to be able to wear her Punk outfit from S07E19 again. As for Fluttershy, she accepted to use her inner strength to wear her Goth persona from S08E04 once more. I can imagine her playing all kinds of gothic sounds on her Korg Triton Extreme! The newly formed band then invited Pinkie to join, always playing on her Rick Marotta Signature Yamaha Hipgig drum kit. She had already lots of experience of playing in a band, as seen in S05E11! Lastly, they needed a bassist so they invited Maud, playing a G&L L-2000 bass guitar. They've been practicing and they'll be holding their first solo live this summer, at the Rock Farm live house! Fun fact, the Mareshall Monitor headphones that Starlight is wearing are actually my own personal headphones, I took photos of them from different angles, masked them out, and edited them in! (Very good headphones, I recommend them)
Yes, I did Mareshall edits for both the headphones and the amp! (For those who don't know, Marshall is a famous amp brand, and I added the "e" to make "Mareshall" everywhere, editing out the logo and then editing in my own text!) The song that Starlight is listening to through her headphones is "Quarter" from the band Fuel.

The guitar sounds and solo were taken from K-On season 2 and played on a Gibson Les Paul Standard. The solo is originally played by Sawako Yamanaka aka Catherine from the band Death Devil.
